We long for lasting value,
I know I’ve seen its face.
But along life’s crowded highway,
We can scarcely find its place.
One day life wears a rainbow,
The next it dons dark blue.
The friend you always count on,
Will hardly speak to you!
So I offer one suggestion,
If you’ve ever felt this way.
Just try the unselfish mainline,
For fulfillment each new day.
