I walked beside the sea today, more answers I must find.

The skeptics hurled a million taunts, which echoed in my mind.

“How come your God is never seen, and no one hears His voice?

You’ve told me that He answers prayer, you accept this by your choice.” (skeptic)

Right now there comes the sound of crashing waves, loud symbols of His power.

I know I can depend on Him—He guides my steps each hour.

My answers come from my God’s Book, we seek Him—then we find. (Jer. 29:13)

And through This Book the truth is learned, of things spiritually discerned. (1 Cor. 2:14)

“If your God would write His name directly in the sky,

I’d be the first with praise for Him, and ne’er His works deny.” (the skeptic said)

Well, here today I find in awe the wonders in the sea.

Creation speaks with “language” clear, its messages to me.

For now, this dialogue will end. Each man will find answers for himself.

But truth comes with those times we take His Book down from the shelf!
