He held out his hand.
I could tell he needed help;
But he was dirty.
My response was slow.
Why should I get involved now;
Let someone else help.
The Master called me,
“Remember I died for you,
And for this man too!”
Then I took his hand,
And ministered to his need;
While my heart rejoiced.
Thank you, my savior,
You moved my heart to action.
Now we both feel loved.
