I’ve been wanderin’ – I’ve been searchin’
In this world of dreams and woe.
And the thought comes oft to plague me,
“Is there nowhere else to go?”
I’ve been wandering’ –I’ve been searchin’
For a place to call my own,
Tired of groping for earthly treasure,
I’m overdue to find a home.
Once a thought near overwhelmed me,
It was this – where is true peace?
For the pain was always with me,
I could never find release.
But the Savior came and saved me;
I found a new security!
And there waits a home in heaven,
Where God gives peace eternally.
