Many are strug’ling & hurting today,
Feeling rejected with home far away.
Longing to leave grief & troubles behind,
Trying so hard acceptance to find.
*But the Father stands with His arms open wide,
“Welcome My child, it is safe to confide.”
Some think of childhood, & remember the pain,
Searching for sunshine, finding only the rain;
Learning too soon things a child shouldn’t know;
Trying to hide with nowhere to go.
*But the Father stands with His arms open wide,
“Run to Me child, it is safe to confide.”
I feel His arms encircling my heart.
In the warmth of His presence I can make a new start.
Eyes that were sad & fixed on the ground,
Are raised in thanksgiving for the lost has been found.
